Shortly afterwards, it set up the Pune (India) Campus for the School of Finance and Management as a joint venture with Emile Woolf International, London, to offer the MBA / BA Programs in India. The Campus was inaugurated by the then Deputy British High Commissioner Mr. Michael Bates. TASMAC later went on to set up the Study Abroad Division that operated as the South Asia Admission Office for the School of Finance and Management. This division soon expanded and today, represents a host of internationally acclaimed British and US Universities.
The year 2000 marked a turning point for TASMAC when its tie-up with the University of Wales came into being, to offer their prestigious MBA / BA programs in India. Also the same year saw the Institute receive the ISO 9001:2000 certification. The first batch of University of Wales Degree Program commenced on February 4, 2002 and was inaugurated by Dr Paul Smith, Director, British Council. Soon that year, the University of Wales validated another prestigious program - M.Sc in Information Systems. Around this time, TASMAC set up hostel facilities for its students in Pune, offering them all in-house facilities.
In the year 2003, the second campus of TASMAC came up in Bangalore (India) . TASMAC Consulting - a business service provider was launched that year as was TASMAC management review - a valuable quarterly management journal. The Institute also launched its MBA (Part Time) program.
A year later, in 2004, TASMAC launched a Centre for Distance Education with an MDBA program. It was also appointed the South Asia Branch of the Association of Business Executives, U.K. The same year saw one of the most reputed Business magazines of the country, Business India ranking TASMAC as an A + B- School which made it among the 50 top management institutes in India.
"Connecting" the monthly publication of the British Council came up with a feature showcasing TASMAC's contribution to the cause of British education.
Recently, TASMAC has achieved a slew of distinctions, chief among them being appointed Representative of the Validation Unit, University of Wales, setting up the Kolkata (India) Campus - which was inaugurated by Dr Andrew Hall, Deputy British High Commissioner. TASMAC also acquired a larger campus in Bangalore (India) in 2006; it was inaugurated by Mr. Rod Pryde, Director, British Council on September 14, 2006.
Today, TASMAC has on offer a host of prestigious Programmes not only of the University of Wales, but the University of Rio Grande and University of Greenwich. It has in the year 2007, inaugurated a fourth campus in Mumbai - erstwhile Bombay - the Finance Capital of India. Since its inception, more than 8000 students have passed out of TASMAC and are occupying enviable positions in some of the best corporates in India and abroad. In 2007, TASMAC was once again rated as an A+ institution for the fourth consecutive year by Business India (TASMAC has been rated as an A+ institution for 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007). |
